The Hungarian Business Leaders Forum (HBLF) and ICEG European Center organised a high-level one-day conference on

Financial Summit VI.

Dr. Reform
First year of reforms, long standing problems

Date: 31 August 2007, Friday, 09:00 - 16:30

Venue: Sofitel Atrium Hotel Budapest (2. Roosevelt Square, Budapest, H-1051)

The language of the conference was Hungarian with simultaneous interpreting to English.

Building upon the permanent and continuous interest of politicians, professionals and mass media the partner organisations decided to establish a conference series that celebrated with this event its 6th occasion. This success is based on incontestable excellence in giving floor for positive dialogue of interested former and current government officials, international authorities, leading economists, top managers and academics irrespectively of their political and professional commitment. The thematic coverage concentrated generally on the main current challenges standing in front of Hungarian economy and economic policy in order to face problems and to raise solutions them.

The current conference addressed topically development of fiscal adjustment, results and future challenges of healthcare system reforms, two apparently important issues, namely the fiscal institutions' framework and public administration.

Mr. Lajos Bokros and Mr. István Stumpf were again the key-note speakers. Mrs. Borbála Czakó and Mr. Pál Gáspár were the organisers and facilitators of the summit.
