Restructuring and development of the banking sector in advanced transition countries:
lessons for Bulgaria

There were three meetings within this program. The first meeting was arranged on November 11 2000 in Sofia by the Economic Policy Institute (Sofia conference) to discuss the preliminary findings of the research program.

The second meeting was a small workshop organized by the Charles University in Prague on May 28-29, 2001, at which the contributors discussed the progress made on their papers and set the outline of the final comparative paper.

The final versions of the country studies and the comparative paper were presented in Sofia on the final conference scheduled for June 21-23, 2001 (Final conference).
