Employment initiatives for an ageing workforce in the New Member States plus Romania and Bulgaria


Aim of the Project:

ICEG European Center has participated in the research project carried out for the European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions, coordinated by KMFA, Austrian Institute for SME Research. The objective of the study was to gain better insight in the situation and characteristics of the older workforce in the New Member States, Romania and Bulgaria as well as a substantial understanding of the role and perspectives of governments, social partners and companies in improving the employment situation of older workers and in extending working life. ICEG European Center participated between August 2005 and March 2006 in the first phase of the project by gathering sufficient information and data and conducting a background analysis regarding the Hungarian case.
