The development prospects of the Hungarian transportation and logistics sector

Aim of the project:

The aim of the project was to analyse the development of the transport and logistics sector in Hungary and to formulate recommendations to the Ministry of Economy and Transport regarding the development of the sector. In that study we have analysed the most important factors that influence the evolution of the transportation and logistics sector in Hungary and the authors described the main indicators of the Hungarian transportation and logistics sector. In the study we compared Hungary with its competitors such as the Czech Republic, Poland and Slovakia, and suggested recommendations how the government should develop the infrastructure and regulation to support the development of the sector. Finally, we examined the impact of the sectoral development on the entire economy.
