Convergence Review

The enlargement of the European Union is one of the major challenges for both its current and expected future members: it offers long-term benefits for them, while requires sizeable short-term costs and adjustment.

ICEG European Centre periodically monitors the progress with enlargement and prepares analyses on related policy issues and problems. Work is devoted to monitor progress in real and nominal convergence, and to assess developments in different areas of enlargement, including the mobility of factors of production, harmonisation of existing laws with the EU ones, etc.

The output of this work are series of reports published periodically by the institute.
