Macroeconomics

The research carried out under Macroeconomics can be divided to two parts. First, ICEG European Center participates in various international and national research projects, which deal with macroeconomic questions. They include exchange rate and monetary policy, fiscal developments, inflation and unemployment, and open economy macroeconomic issues. The primary focus of research is the New Member States and the South Eastern European countries, but several projects analyze European wide policy issues.

Second, ICEG European Center regularly publishes reports on macroeconomic developments in the region. Among others they include our South Eastern European Monitor or News of the Month series, the convergence reports on the New Member States and our quarterly analysis on the macroeconomic developments of the Hungarian, Central European and South Eastern European economies.
